Waukesha/Milwaukee Chapter Tyke Hike

August 13, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

Come on a Tyke Hike to explore Wisconsin’s own Ice Age National Scenic Trail!  We will explore the Lapham Peak area in the Kettle Moraine Unit. Please plan to meet at the Observation Tower.

Tyke Hikes are short, slow-paced hikes focused on exploration, discovery, service opportunities and natural play.  They last approximately 1-2 hours and can cover up to 1.5 miles. Tyke Hikes are led by Peter Dargatz, a forest kindergarten teacher and Ice Age Trail volunteer. Most Tyke Hikes include a picture book story and information about the Ice Age Trail.

All families are welcome. Hikers should wear clothing and shoes/boots appropriate to hiking and the weather. Water and insect repellant are recommended. A State Parks sticker is required to enter the Park. Please come “get lost in the right direction” with us!
