Waukesha Milwaukee Chapter Tyke Hike
July 27, 2016 @ 6:00 pm
FreeHome to grasses, flowers, animals and birds, prairies once dominated Wisconsin’s landscape. Although they faded, Wisconsin’s prairies are now making a comeback. Come prance through a prairie and see what makes it such a wonderful place!
Families with children of all ages are encouraged to attend. Tyke Hikes are short, slow-paced hikes promoting nature and family hiking. They typically take 1-2 hours and can cover up to 1.5 miles. Tyke Hikes are led by Peter Dargatz, a Forest Kindergarten teacher and Ice Age Trail volunteer. Post-hike educational materials and certificates for children will be provided.
Please meet at the Evergreen parking lot at Lapham Peak. Water and bug spray are recommended. A Wisconsin State Parks sticker is required.
