Waukesha/Milwaukee Chapter Tyke Hike

June 8 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm

Free

Join us for a hike on the Pike Lake segment of the Ice Age Trail! This easy-to-access, beautiful segment travels through the Kettle Moraine State Forest.  We will meet in the Nature Trail Lot off Powder Hill Road. All families are welcome!

Tyke Hikes are short, slow-paced hikes promoting nature and family hiking. They emphasize children’s natural curiosity and provide opportunities for exploration, discovery and play. Tyke Hikes last approximately 1-2 hours and can cover up to 1.5 miles. They are led by Peter Dargatz, a forest kindergarten teacher and Ice Age Trail volunteer.

Hikers should dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable shoes/hiking boots. Water and insect repellant are recommended.

For more information, please contact Peter Dargatz at ([email protected])
