Waukesha/Milwaukee County Chapter Hartland Hike
March 14, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pmFree
Please join us March 14 for our monthly hike of the Ice Age Trail in Hartland! Hikes are led by Jeff Romagna and held in conjunction with the Hartland Parks and Recreation Department.
Hartland was the first village in Wisconsin to be named an Ice Age Trail community. The Village is a dedicated partner of the Ice Age Trail Alliance and is committed to promoting area residents’ understanding of the significance of the Trail in Wisconsin’s history and geology.
A 4.7 mile segment of Ice Age Trail passes through Hartland and includes such highlights as the Aldo Leopold Overlook and Cottonwood Wayside, and the John Muir Overlook and Maple Wayside. Other highlights in Hartland include Penbrook Park, Nixon Park, Bark River Park, Hartbrook Park, and Centennial Park.
Hikers should dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable shoes/boots. Water is recommended. For more information about the hike, contact Jeff at email@example.com
