Waukesha/Milwaukee County Chapter – Wee Walkers
January 8 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

About:
Hartland became Wisconsin’s first Ice Age Trail Community in 2015, and this walking club was formed to bring people–both adults and “Wee Walkers”–together to enjoy the trail, community, and each other. Start the New Year right by getting your kids out of the house and onto the Ice Age Trail with the Hartland Walking Club’s “Wee Walkers” program–monthly hikes designed especially for tykes! We’d love to have you join us for a walk!
The Walk:
Details:
This is an easy hike and will last approximately two hours. Participants can elect to head back to the starting point at any time. This portion of the trail is paved and normally accessible to those using a stroller or wheelchair. However, these paths are not maintained in the winter months, and accessibility will depend on the weather. Dogs must be leashed and are not allowed on the portion between Hartbrook Park and Centennial Park. Dress for the weather and plan to walk through snow, ice, rain, and mud. If the wind chill is below zero or conditions are unsafe we will cancel. Christina Callies and the Hartland Recreation Department organized this hike. Register in advance (ensure that you receive notification in the event this hike is postponed or canceled) or simply show up at Centennial Park. There is no fee for this activity.
Location:
We will meet at the kiosk just west of the parking lot in Hartland’s Centennial Park.

Email comments or questions to your hike leader, Christina.
