Waukesha/Milwaukee Chapter Evening Hike and Bonfire
November 19, 2016 @ 5:30 pmFree
Join us to experience the sights and sound of evening on the Scuppernong segment of the Ice Age Trail. This moderate hike will proceed north along the southern part of the segment for an out-and-back distance of 3-3. miles. The hike will be followed by conversation and snacks around a bonfire at Ice Age Trail Backpack Shelter #1, atop Spyglass Hill.
Hikers should bring a flashlight for this night hike and a camping chair and snacks to enjoy around the fire. Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable hiking boots/shoes. A water bottle, walking stick and bug spray are recommended. There are no restrooms at the starting point, but outhouses are located near the shelter.
We will meet at the Hwy 67 Wayside Parking Lot just south of Piper Road. Watch for the yellow and black Ice Age Trail signs to guide you. Click here for directions to starting point and parking lot location.
