Waukesha/Milwaukee County Chapter Annual Meeting
March 19, 2015 @ 6:00 pm
6:00 pm – Potluck – We will be serving chili as our main dish for our annual meeting. Everyone is asked to bring a dish to pass.
7:00 pm – Please join us to find out what is new with the Ice Age National Scenic Trail. Tim Malzhan, Director of Trail Operations for the Ice Age Trail Alliance, will be our guest speaker. He manages the IATA’s Trail program by assessing and prioritizing statewide trail and trail infrastructure opportunities and needs. He also develops and manages projects and policies related to designing, building, maintaining, and stewarding the Trail. Tim is the principal architect of the Mobile Skills Crew program and the Trail Notebook Series. Other key duties include working closely with partners and volunteers to ensure that environmental compliance, funding, planning, and Trail management objectives are met. He was introduced to the Ice Age Trail when he completed a thru-hike in 1991. Tim will be speaking on highlights and responsibilities of the Mobile Skills Crew.
We will also be voting on Chapter Officers. And, if you’d like to donate an item for the IATA’s Annual Conference in April, you are welcome to bring it to this meeting.
Everyone is welcome!
