Waukesha/Milwaukee County Chapter Tyke Hike in Hartland
August 6, 2015 @ 6:00 pm
The waterways of Wisconsin are an invaluable resource. From our state’s beginnings to the present day, our freshwater resources can teach us much about where we came from and where we are headed. Parts of this hike may require a reroute for dog owners.
LOCATION: HARTLAND – Please click here for driving directions. Meet at Centennial Park, south of K in Hartland. Watch for yellow “Ice Age Trail Event” signs.
Tyke Hikes are short, slow-paced hikes promoting nature and family hiking in an outdoor educational setting. Families with small children are encouraged to come learn about Wisconsin’s outdoors and experience portions of our treasured Ice Age National Scenic Trail. Each session will begin with a short lesson about a particular natural topic before families head out to explore the trails and enjoy time together. Each hike is scheduled to last approximately one hour in length and between 1 – 1.5 miles. Click here to download the 2015 Tyke Hikes flyer.
