Waukesha/Milwaukee County Chapter Workday

May 16, 2015 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Please join us at Lapham Peak State Park in Delafield, to rehabilitate existing trail from the tower to the backpack shelter. The work will include deburming and installing drainage structures to create a more sustainable trail. This important preliminary work is in preparation for the Mobile Skills Crew project in August.

No experience in trail building is needed, as all tools and training will be provided at the event. Volunteers need to bring work gloves, sturdy shoes/boots, and a water bottle. Long sleeves and pants are highly recommended. People of all ages are welcome to attend, but please leave small children and pets at home, as the tools are sharp and can be dangerous.

LOCATION: LAPHAM PEAK UNIT OF SOUTHERN KETTLE MORAINE STATE FOREST, DELAFIELD. Click here for driving directions. Watch for the “Ice Age Trail Event” signs to guide you to the tower parking lot.

To insure proper planning, please contact Pat.
