Waupaca/Portage Co. Hike-a-thon

October 5, 2019 @ 8:30 am - 11:00 am


33rd Annual Portage/Waupaca Fall Hike-a-Thon, first Saturday in October on the New Hope – Iola Ski Hill Segment. 

Enjoy Wisconsin’s beautiful fall colors while strolling along the Ice Age Trail, a true Wisconsin treasure! Help raise money for an area hit hard by summer storms. Funds raised will go towards trail maintenance and improvements!

Refreshments! Door Prizes! Displays!

Before your hike . . .

Register between 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Hikers will receive a registration number and trail map.
Dress for the weather. Sun, rain, and snow!
Bring a refillable water bottle.

Note: Due to high water over the boardwalk on the section from Hwy T to Krogwold Rd, the route will be modified.

LOCATION: Meet us at the Iola Winter Sports Club, E398 County Hwy MM, Iola Wi   54945

During your hike . . .

Respect all plants and animals on the trail. Leave any natural “finds” for others to enjoy.
Enjoy the solitude of the Trail and the geologic beauty that surrounds you!
3 rest stops: apples and water available

After your hike . . .

Return your hiker registration number.
Check to see if you won a door prize!
Browse the merchandise and educational displays.
Enjoy the refreshments generously provided by local area merchants and volunteers
