Overview

Please join us for the Mobile Skills Crew Winter Rendezvous, a gathering for anyone interested in volunteering for or hiking on the Ice Age Trail! See Schedule below.

We’ll be sharing meals, hiking, skiing and snowshoeing in the afternoon (bring your gear!), looking back at the 2016 MSC season and seeing what’s in store for 2016.

It all takes place at the UW Stevens Point Treehaven center near Tomahawk. Map to Treehaven [PDF]

For those wishing to arrive on Friday, limited lodging (and dinner) will be available after 3pm check in. A minimum linens package (pillow, sheets, blanket) is provided – bring extra if you wish. Each room will require 2-4 persons and includes a private bathroom. Saturday lodging is plentiful. Overnight cost is $40/person/night.

For the adventurous, Treehaven is hosting their annual Treehaven Tromp snowshoe fun run and race on Saturday morning.  For the rest of us, plenty of trails abound for leisurely afternoon hiking, skiing or snowshoeing.

Come for the day Saturday or spend the night. Please register here – there’s a modest fee for lodging and meals.  Checks made payable to the Ice Age Trail Alliance can be mailed to P.O Box 128, Cross Plains, WI 53528.

What to Bring

Bring wear and gear for your winter activity of choice (cross country skis, snowshoes, hiking boots, micro spikes or yak traks encouraged). If staying overnight, linens and pillows are provided, but feel free to bring an extra blanket, along with a towel and toiletries.
