Be Immersed. The rugged beauty of the Chippewa County Forest will challenge, inspire, and rejuvenate you. Hike along glittering kettle lakes, through mesic forests, and across winding boardwalks. Photo by Dave Caliebe.

This will be a unique opportunity to hike the Ice Age National Scenic Trail with one of our notable hikers, Sharon Dziengel, one of the first female thru-hikers, ardent outdoor enthusiast, and volunteer extraordinaire. Her familiarity with hiking extends past the Ice Age Trail to having over 14,000 long distance trail miles under her feet including thru-hikes of 4 other National Scenic Trails.

Be Mentored. You won’t want to miss the chance to experience the Trail with someone as passionate, experienced, and knowledgeable as Sharon (she wrote much of IAT Guidebook!).  Sharon (on the right) receives the IATA Spirit Stick Award for her extraordinary level of volunteer service.
