Thru-hikers appreciate the opportunity to refresh and refuel in Trail Communities.                  Photo by John Painter.

There are plenty of services, in Manitowoc-Two Rivers, to assist the thru-hiker on his or her thousand-mile journey across the fine state of Wisconsin. Amenities abound in grocery stores where packs can be filled, showers can be had to wash away the “hiker stink”, and there are extensive medical services as well. Public Libraries offer respite from the heat, rain, or cold and internet access for bringing friends and family up to speed.
