Ice Age Trail: City of Two Rivers Segment

Ice Age Trail Alliance, Ice Age National Scenic Trail, Two Rivers Ice Age Trail Community

This urban segment invites hikers to experience the city’s claim to fame – home to the original ice cream sundae and maritime history at the Historic Rogers Street Fishing Village.

The segment begins at the Columbus Street / 12th Street intersection with the Trail heading east on 12th Street. Along the way at Monroe Street you may want to investigate the Historic Farm Museum. However, you may not be able to linger as long as you’d like…ice cream will be on your mind for on 17th Street you’ll find the historic Washington House, home of the original ice cream sundae. You’ll delight in the beautiful murals, antiques and lovely period rooms on display. You’ll transition back into area’s natural beauty with a stroll along the edge of Neshotah Park before the segment comes to an end.
