Justine is excited to dive into her role as the AmeriCorps VISTA Communications Support Specialist at the Alliance. In this role, she will be working closely with the communications team to help identify opportunities to promote tourism along the Ice Age Trail and highlight the stories, successes, and efforts of the Ice Age Trail Alliance to the greater public.

Justine was inspired to pursue a career in the environmental field while attending university. As a student at Bemidji State University, she enthusiastically joined the university sustainability club ‘Students for the Environment’ and helped coordinate and market events.

She then applied her skillsets as a problem solver and critical thinker at Incisive Computing Solutions, where she assisted with software implementation and project management. The AmeriCorps VISTA position at the Alliance is an opportunity for Justine to pursue her passions for the environment and sustainability.

As a newly converted Wisconsinite, Justine is looking forward to exploring the natural beauty of the state and adventuring on the Ice Age Trail. Up next on her list of upcoming adventures is the Devil’s Lake Segment, which reminds her of her favorite place in the world —  the north shore of Lake Superior in Minnesota. Justine enjoys cooking, yoga, and taking her pet ferret for walks in the forest. Learn more about Justine here.
