Waukesha/Milwaukee Co Chapter: Hartland Walking Club – Full Moon Hike

Full Moon Hike Event:

The Hartland Walking Club and the Hartland Recreation Department, hope to see you at the Full Moon Hike!

Beginning at Nixon Park‘s Warming Shed, hikers will head southeast by light of the full moon using the trails surrounding Penbrook Park. Those interested in extending their hike may continue on through the Maple Wayside portion of the IAT. Bring flashlights and dress appropriately for the weather. All are welcome. Hot chocolate will be available.

The Event:

The Village of Hartland Ice Age Trail Committee has a special full moon hike!

Join us at the Cottonwood Wayside which is located just south of downtown Hartland (watch for the yellow Ice Age Trail event sign). There will be a bonfire and also hot apple cider. Keep your fingers crossed for a full moon to light our way on the trail. Please bring flashlights or headlamps if you can.

Candlelight Full Moon Hike – Lodi Valley Chapter

The Hike:

Greetings Trail Friends!
Let’s gather under the moon for a candle lit hike with friends! The trail will be glowing with luminaries to guide you through nature.  Headlamps optional; let the moon and candles guide you! There will be smoldering fires along the trail from crews that worked that week on the property. Come for the S’mores, stay for the good company.

Event details:

 Friday, February 18th at 7:30 pm
Wear appropriate clothing and shoes for the weather. If conditions are slick, wear proper footwear. This will be a leisurely stroll up to the “big bench”.  A low key, family friendly walk. Watch for the yellow Ice Age Trail Event signs.
