Full Moon Hike- Lodi Valley Chapter

The Hike:

Greetings hikers, walkers, strollers, and saunterers!
Join the Lodi Valley Chapter of the Ice Age Trail Alliance on Saturday, June 11th for our monthly full moon walk under the Strawberry Moon.
We will meet at the Twin Pines Trailhead on Lodi/Springfield Road at 7:30 pm and walk up the trail to take in the views of the Lodi Marsh and the moon. Depending on how energetic everyone is we might even go further…or not!

The wild strawberries that start to ripen during early summer gave name to the Full Moon in June. Other names of this Full Moon are Rose Moon, Hot Moon, and Mead Moon. For more information go to https://www.timeanddate.com/astronomy/moon/strawberry.html
The moon rises around 5:30 pm so it will be fairly light at the start of the walk, but we may need to rely on flashlights and headlamps by the end as the sun sets about 8:30 pm. Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather and bring along a flashlight or headlamp.  Well behaved, leashed dogs are always welcome.
