We will try to improve the scenic value of the woods south of the trailhead by clearing out invasive buckthorn and honeysuckle and weed trees.  In additional to hand tool work, we will have work for trained and aptly equipped chain sawyers, and possibly for brush cutter operators.  We’ll also spray the cut stumps with herbicide to prevent resprouts.  If we are so overwhelmed with volunteers that we run out of work in the woods, we’ll go after the invasives along the fence line between the woods and the trailhead.  Contact leader for more details.
