August 3, 2022 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Exploring the Ice Age National Scenic Trail Presentation

Wednesday, August 3, 5:30 – 7:00 pm
Slinger Public Library (in-person)

Be inspired for adventure on the Ice Age National Scenic Trail! One of only 11 National Scenic Trails in the country, the Ice Age Trail is a 1,200 mile footpath found entirely within the state of Wisconsin. Ancient glaciers carved the path through rocky terrain, open prairies, kettle lakes, and peaceful forests. Now, day hikers, backpackers, and outdoor lovers of all ages rely on the Ice Age Trail for a place to unplug, relax and enjoy nature.

Join the Ice Age Trail Alliance for this introductory presentation. Learn tips and tricks for day hiking and backpacking, along with plenty of resources to get started on your journey. Leave with maps and information suited to scratch that hiking itch.

Ice Age Trail Community Partnership: Slinger is an Ice Age Trail Community, a program designed as a symbiotic relationship between the Ice Age Trail Alliance (IATA) and communities near the Trail. Our goal is to enhance awareness of the Ice Age Trail, improve the quality of life in the communities, and highlight the area as a hiker destination. Arrive early, or stay after, this presentation and enjoy the local businesses and eateries in Slinger.
