The Hike

This hike is a round trip hike on the East Twin River segment of the Ice Age Trail. The trail winds through oak, pine, and silver maple woods with lots of views of the river from Hillview Road to Rockledge Road and back. The hike is 1.4 miles each direction.

The Native American Potawatomi tribe is said to have established an encampment  alongside the East Twin river in the East Twin River segment.  The nearby village of Mishicot is named after Potawatomi Chief Meshigaud.

Event Details

The hike is generally flat, and in wet weather can be a bit damp in a few places. Bring mosquito repellant and water. The hike will take about 1 1/2 hours.
