Waukesha/Milwaukee County Chapter Tyke Hike
March 19, 2016 @ 10:00 amFree
Spring is in the air! Come get your spring hiking season started with our March Tyke Hike. Learn about how Wisconsin wildlife and plants prepare for the warm months ahead.
Families with children of all ages are encouraged to attend! Tyke Hikes are short, slow-paced hikes promoting nature and family hiking on a portion of the Ice Age Trail. They last approximately 1-2 hours and can cover up to 1.5 miles. Tyke Hikes are led by Peter Dargatz, a forest kindergarten teacher and Ice Age Trail volunteer. Post-hike educational materials and certificates for children will be provided.
We will explore the Loew Lake segment of the trail. Parking is available just north of the intersection of Cty K, Cty E, and Cty Q in Monches, on the border of Waukesha and Washington Counties.
